Enjoy this 2 day tour kayaking on the big Mekong River, discovering the local lifestyle along the River, the quietness of the 4000 islands and encountering the amazing Irrawaddy dolphins.

This tour can be done all year long. Tour starts: 09:00am – Tour ends: 17:00pm the next day.


Day 1:Pakse >> Muangsen Nua >> Don Det.
The tour starts in our office in Pakse. We drive to Hat village then to Muangsen Nua where people make sugar from the sugar palm tree.On the way, you can see many smaller islands and the fishing cultures along the river. 
Around noon, we stop for a relaxing picnic in a nice spot, and paddle again to reach Don Det around 2:00pm. 
After check in to our guesthouse, the afternoon is yours to explore the island.

Day 2: Don Det >> Don Khone >> Dolphins area >> Veunkham >> Pakse.
We resume our downstream trip to Don Khone. This is a short 30 minutes paddle. We explore the island by foot, through vestiges of the French colony and Li Phi waterfall, before kayaking again to view the endangered Irrawaddy dolphins and have lunch on the Cambodian side of the border. After lunch, we take the kayaks for the last time to reach Vernkham to take the van to Khone Phapheng waterfall, the biggest waterfall in Southeast Asia. 
Then, we return to Don Det at 4:00pm or transfer to Pakse, arriving around 7:00pm.
