Day 1: Pakse - Bolaven Plateau 

Meet your guide at the hotel lobby, then drive to a small village known for its knife making, before visiting a tea plantation where we learn how tea is processed. We continue our trip to Tad Fan waterfall, a 120 meters high twin waterfall, and to Tad Yuang waterfall, where we have lunch and take some time to hang out or to take a relaxing swim. After lunch, we move to Paksong market and take some time there to discover the large variety of exotic products in this market. We carry on to Tad Lo waterfall and Tad Soung, which gives a great view of the valley. We start our way back to Pakse visiting Tad Phasuam waterfall and the ethnic village built next to it. After enjoying the waterfall, we take back the minivan and return to Pakse.

Day 2: Pakse - Vat Phou - 4000 islands 

After breakfast , we drive to Champasak and visit the fascinating pre-Angkorian ruins of Vat Phou, one of Southeast Asia's most dramatically situated temples. We have time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins, which are perched at the base of Mount Phu Kao. Vat Phou is one of the Lao World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in 2001, this wonderful archeological site of Khmer civilization dates back to the 10th century, predating the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia.We continue our journey back to Pakse then we drive on Road No. 13 south to Don Det Island (about 3hours).

Overnight in Don Det Island

Day 3: Don Det (Full day kayak)

Tour starts at 8:30 am from Don Det. You will be quickly briefed to learn how to navigate. The tour starts with a visit of the small islands nearby Don Det, for about 40 minutes, after what you will enjoy exciting rapids (grade 2-3). You'll meet beautiful and clean swimming spots, and stop on one of them for a Lao picnic lunch. This place is quite deserted, except by local fishermen who prepare the meals. After lunch, you'll continue paddling downstream for about one hour to the area where the last Irrawaddy Dolphins live, at the Lao Cambodian border. After spending a while relaxing and taking photos, the kayaks go on for 40 more minutes to Veun Kham, a place where a car is waiting to take you to the amazing and impressive Khone Phapheng Waterfall (big falls). Then you'll be driven by car to Nakasang, where you'll enjoy the sunset, paddling back to Don Det.

Day 4: Don Det - Pakse

This is your last day of the tour. After breakfast you have time to enjoy the relaxing life on the Island by your own. At 11:00am , we drive back to Pakse for departure.
