Itinerary
 
Day 01: Pakse
Welcome in Pakse the capital city of Champasak province of Southern Laos. It is known for its relaxed type of life, warm hospitality and rich cultural, historic and natural heritage. Meet your driver at Pakse Aiport. Transfer to hotel for check in. In the afternoon enjoy a panoramic sunset view of the city from Pousa Lao Mountain.
 
Night at Champasak Grand hotel. 
 
Day 2: Pakse - Bolaven 
After breakfast, meet with the guide for the drive towards Paksong and enjoy the cool, peaceful beauty of the high altitude Bolaven Plateau . The first leg of the journey takes around 1 hour drive to Tad Fane waterfalls twin waterfall with more than 130 meters and one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Southern Laos. After that we start a short trek through the village to Tad Yuang waterfall. You will stop to a coffee and tea farm and learn of the process of Lao coffee from tree to cup. Later drive to Tad Champi where we share our delicious local food for picnic. After our lunch, you have time to relax and swim, before taking the car and drive to the most beautiful resort in the Bolaven plateau, Sinouk resort. Diner at Sinouk resort, and most of the ingredients comes from their biological garden.

Day 3: Sinouk resort - Tad Lo - Tad Pasuam - Ban Kiet Ngong 
After breakfast, depart this morning towards ThaTeang where we explore the minority tribes of Alak, Ngae and KaTu at Coffins village Bane Kokphoung. Discover about traditional way of rural life with their fascinating unique culture. We continue the excursion by car to Tad Lor waterfall. Relax and enjoy your lunch around the waterfall before driving to Pakse, with a stop to Tad Pasuam, a waterfall that stretches around a U shaped cliff. Later we continue to Ban Kiet Ngong, at the edge of the Xe Pian wetlands and National Protected Area.

Day 4: Ban Kiet Ngong - Elephant trekking 
After breakfast meet our elephants. On the back of our elephants we trek for 2 ½ hours to the archeological site of Phou Asa, from where we can also enjoy the beautiful views of the 700 ha Pha Pho wetland, which is rich with bird life. We will then take our lunch at a local restaurant in the village. Our next destination is the small, centuries old temple complex 'Tomo'. The ruins of this sacred site date back to the Khmer period and many interesting artefacts are worth to discover. Then we travel 2 to Ban Ngong Bong, a village of the ethnic 'Ta Oy' minority group. These people are famous for their wood carving skills.

Day 5: Ban Kiet Ngong - Don Det - Done Khone 
Our next destination is 4000 Islands; a group of Islands in the Mekong River in Southern Laos. Many of the Islands are under water during the monsoon, when the river increases its amount of water. After Lunch in Don Det depart to the historic bridge of Done Khone - Don Det. You will see an array of relics from the French colonial era and retrace the old colonial past. You will see old locomotive and the history behind it, the remnants of the first Lao railway .

Day 6: Done Khone
After breakfast, we will then go to Li Phi Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking the end of Lao border to Cambodia, also known as the Samphamith waterfall. We will travel by boat to see the threatened species in the world; the freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphins. After that we will go to Hangkhone village pier to see the best view nearby Cambodia border.

Day 7: Done Khone > Champasak
In the morning we take the road to Champasak, we stop at Khone Phapeng waterfall. It is the biggest waterfall in Southeast Asia and has been named the Pearl of Mekong River. The waterfall has height of 21 meters, consists many small waterfalls stretching over 12 kilometres the length of river. It has been dubbed the “Niagara of Asia”. We should arrive in Champasak town around 12:00am. Enjoy your lunch in the ancient town, before continuing to the temple. This is a leisurely day and you will have the time needed to explore the temple, museum and the town of Champasak. After exploring, we drive back to our resort for a night.

Day 8: Done Deng - Pakse - Done Kho - Thakhek
After enjoying your breakfast at the best hotel in Champasak, we take start cycling on Done Deng island. After lunch we take a boat to Champasak then drive to a waving village called Ban Saphay. Here we will take a boat to Done Kho Island to relax and enjoy a drink before driving to Thakhek.

Day 9: Thakhek- Ban Khong Lor 
After breakfast we drive to Ban khong lor. This one day experience provides an amazing discovery on the edge of Phou Hinboun, encountering some of the most beautiful limestone landscapes and through one of the longest cave of the country-the cave of Konglor. After getting out of the town towards the North, we will have a 2 hours journey to enter into our secret garden: the famous limestone forest of Phou Hinboun. We will trek forward for around 2 hours through the jungle and local guide will lead us to Namsanam waterfall where we will enjoy the calm and beauty of the area. We will enjoy lunch in local restaurant. In the afternoon we will head next to KongLor cave – the source of Hinboun River. After a brief meeting with locals to discuss the security issues, we will be provided with torch and equipment before we enter into the mouth of the cave and jump into our motorboat with a local boatman to cruise up the Hinboun River that flows through the cave. This 7.5 km underground cruise is really a unique experience and we will be amazed by this circuit passing from huge chambers to middle sized caves with stalactites and stalagmites. We get out of the cave besides Ban Nathan village. We will return by the same way. At the end of the journey you will be transferred to Thakhek for a night .

Day 10: Thakhek > Vientiane
After breakfast, enjoy your breakfast before driving to Vientiane. We will make a stop on the way for lunch in a local restaurant.

Day 11: Vientiane city tour 
After a relaxing night, meet your guide at hotel lobby and drive for today’s sightseeing tour. Your first stop is the city’s oldest monastery, Vat Si Saket, , the oldest monastery in the city. .Next, travel to Ho Phra Keo, a one-time royal temple that today houses a Buddhist museum of art and sculpture. The complex is known for its extensive collection of Buddha sculptures, as well as for being the original home of the famous Emerald Buddha that now resides in Bangkok. Proceed on to the next stop at That Luang, one of the most revered memorials in all of Laos. Get a sense for this 147-foot-tall (45-meter), gold-covered stupa and its unique banana-flower shape. Continue to Anousavali, also known as the Victory Gate or Patouxai, a dramatic arch that bears a striking resemblance to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Take abreak midday for lunch at a traditional restaurant before continuing to Vientiane’s well-known Buddha Park, first built by a local monk in the 1950s. Wander among the park’s collection of mythological statues, each connected to the themes of Buddhism. If you happen to visit on a weekend, you’ll also observe the numerous locals that flock to this unique green space to relax and socialize.

Day 12: Vientiane > Vangvieng 
After breakfast, leave Vientiane and drive to Vang Vieng in about 5 hour on land transfer. En route stop at Nam Ngum Dam about 70km round trip from main road. Enjoy boat trip to explore islands around Nam Ngum Lake. After lunch at local restaurant, continue by land to Vang Vieng, which is nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Its stunning scenery with a mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops remains unspoiled. On arrival in Vang Vieng, we cross the Nam Song River to Tham Jang caves and then enjoy a short trek through breathtaking mountain landscape to explore the Tam None Cave and some hill villages. Today ends with a superb panorama of the sunset reflecting over the Nam Song River.

Day 13: Vang Vieng > Xieng Khuang 
After breakfast, drive further about 6-7 hours to Xieng khouang which was devastated by American bombing between 1964 and 1973. Upon arrival, check in your hotel. Free to explore the city.
 
Overnight in Phonsavanh.
 
Day 14: Xieng Khuang > Plain of Jars
After breakfast, visit central market, then drive out to visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are littered all over the plateau. You also have time, this afternoon seeing the old capital of Muang Khoun Province and the nearby villages, home to the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people. They have an interesting local culture and a colorful history. In the afternoon visit provincial national museum.
 
Overnight in Phonsavanh.
 
Day 15: Xieng Khuang > Luang Prabang
Early morning, we visit Central Market of Phonsavanh to watch different Hill tribes to barter and exchange merchandises. Then heading out this small town to Luang Prabang about 260km, on the way, stop and see a site more than 200 years old Buddha images in Thampra and varied Hmong and varied hill tribe minority villages along the road. They are nice, friendly and welcoming. Continue driving up hill, enjoying mountain splendid natural scenery, forest and landscape. After a tea or coffee break at Sala Phoukhoun, where the T-junction of bordering meets Vientiane – Xieng khouang – Luang Prabang. The journey will take us over mountainous region to Luang Prabang. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. Checking into hotel and relax after a long journey.

Day 16: Luang Prabang  - Nong Khiaw town
This morning you may want to wake up early and participate in the daily early morning ritual of saffron-clad monks with their black Alms-giving bowls being given offerings from the local people. After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and experience the 2.5-hour drive to Nong Khiaw. Approximately, you reach the destination at noon and have lunch in the village. Then, start exploring the Phathok historical cave. That said, this cave was used as a bomb shelter by the villagers during the “Secret War.” It protected people from the bombs dropped in the village. Phathok Cave is just 30- minute walking from Nong Khiaw, and the walk is very scenic. The knowledgeable guide is there to clear any of your concerns about the secretive parts of Laos history and the hidden cave. While the cave itself is historic, the view of rice paddies and valley from here goes beyond your expectation. Later, walk back to the town, passing through the spectacular scenery.

Day 17: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou
After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the distillation of local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek, well known for its hand-made of Jute Sar paper.
 
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
 
Day 18: Luang Prabang 
Meet your chef in the morning at a central location in Luang Prabang and walk past World Heritage– listed buildings and temples en route to the local farmers market. On a private or small-group tour of the market, your guide helps you select fresh ingredients, produce, and meat to prepare a delicious meal. After the market, you start your 2-hour cooking class takes under the guidance of the chef. Learn to prepare a 4-course lunch of traditional Lao and Luang Prabang dishes via hands-on experience. At midday, relax while eating your creations in an idyllic setting overlooking the lush gardens. After lunch complete the experience with a relaxing one or two hour Lao traditional massage in one of the best spa centre in town.
 
Transfer back to the hotel early this evening.

Day 19: Luang Prabang 
After breakfast we drive towards Kuang Si Falls. Our first first stop is at Kuang Si Butterfly Park, situated 300m before the entry of Kuang Si Waterfall. Kuang Si Butterfly Park is a project that was initiated in January 2014 and the mission is to create a research centre studying and publishing about Laos butterflies, host plants and preservation because of environmental issues in Laos. Later continue at the crystal clear Kuang Si Waterfall where we will have plenty of time to relax and swim. While in the Kuang Si Waterfall park, you will visit the Kuang Si Bear Rescue Sanctuary. You can find great information about Asian sun and moon bears and the Free the Bears protection program. You are welcome to support the project with a donation or by buying a real "Free The Bears" T-Shirt. Then It is time to bring you back to the hotel.
 
Night in Luang Prabang.
 
Day 20: Departure
After breakfast we will take you back to the airport in luang prabang for you departure flight.
