Itinerary

Day 1: Vientiane – Pakse (Lunch -Dinner)

After Breakfast, meet your driver at your hotel lobby, and drive to Vientiane Airport for the morning flight to Pakse. Pick up from Pakse Airport by your driver and Guide. Welcome to Pakse, quiet city in southern Laos, situated on the Mekong River. Drive towards Paksong and enjoy the cool, peaceful beauty of the high altitude Bolaven Plateau . The first leg of the journey takes around 1 hour drive to Tad Fane waterfalls twin waterfall with more than 130 meters and one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Southern Laos. Enjoy the view and enjoy your lunch. After that we start a short trek through the village to Tad Yuang waterfall . You will stop to a coffee and tea farm and learn of the process of Lao coffee from tree to cup. After we take back the car and drive to the most beautiful resort in the Bolaven plateau, Sinouk Resort. Diner at Sinouk Resort, and most of the ingredients comes from their biological garden.

Overnight in Paksong

Day 2: Paksong - Attapeu (BF- Lunch - Dinner)

After a relaxing night in Paksong, drive towards the home to many diverse upland ethnic minorities such as Lao, Alak, Katang, Kaleum, Katou, Suay, Oy, Taoy, Sadang, Nge, Lavea, Lavenh, Cheuang, Tariang and Nyaheung. Embark on an adventure in remote Attapeu province in the Southeast corner of Laos. Today we will focus on temples starting with Old Pagoda and Xaysetha Stupa in Xaysetha district. It was constructed in 1579. Aftewards we continue to Wat Sakae temple , with the sacred Buddha Image which is very respected during Lao’s New year. Later with your local guide Trek along the historic Ho Cho Minh Trail and see a missile launcher leftover from the war.

Overnight in Attapeu

Day 3: Ban Mai Village and the Xe Pian National protected (BF - Lunch - Dinner)

Our journey start with a 48 kilometers trip to Ban Mai and the route southwest stops at Nonglom Lake at the foot of the Bolaven plateau, where birdwatchers might catch a glimpse of important species including the giant ibis, black ibis, sarus crane, and white-winged duck as well as vultures. Drive to Ban Mai on the Xe Pian River and board a long tail boat to lead the way on a onehour cruise to the 10-metre-high, 30-metre-wide Tad Samongphak Waterfall. From here, a path cuts through the forest on a three-hour trek along the river to the massive 120-metre-wide Tad Saepha Waterfall, which drops 23 metres. It‘s a beautiful waterfalls in Lao with its very unequal flow. The return trek to Tad Samongphak will follow an alternative trail through the forest and farmland, before boarding the boat to Ban Mai. Upon return,you can take an evening bath in the Xe Pian River before sitting down to a traditional dinner with your home-stay family.

Day 4: Attapeu for departure(BF)

After your breakfast, we drive back to Pakse to take you flight back to Vientiane. It is 3hours and 30 min drive.
