Day 1: Vientiane (Lunch + Dinner)

Arrive in Vientiane by flight or by bridge. Transfer to Hotel for check in.  After Lunch, start Vientiane City Tour by visiting Wat PraKeo, one of Laos’ most highly respected temples, now turned into a museum. Its name derives from the Emerald Buddha, Thailand’s most valued Buddha image which was snatched from them and kept in the temple for over 200 years. Then visit Wat Sisaket, famous for its cloister wall housing thousands of tiny Buddha statues date from 16th and 17th centuries.

Continue the tour by visiting That Luang, the most important monument in Laos and also a national symbol, then drive to Anousavari also known as the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane as it resembles to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. It is dedicated to those who fought in the struggle for independence from France.

Later enjoy a tropical sunset on the Mekong River and dinner at restaurant with delicious Lao dishes and Lao traditional dance.

Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane (BF + Lunch + Dinner) 

After breakfast, you get picket up at the hotel and depart Vientiane in your private car or minivan for a full-day excursion to Nam Ngum Reservoir, located about 62 miles (100 km) away.Then sit back and relax as you explore the lush vegetation along the backwaters and soak up river life.

Enjoy lunch at a boat restaurant on the lake, before continuing on to Ban Bor Village. Ban Bor Village is one of the many salt villages in the Thoulakhom District. Famous for its salt factory which uses traditional method to extract salts without the involvement of machines. Here we learn how the local community uses authentic means to glean salt from the ground water. 

Then it is time to go back to Vientiane, on our way back we will stop to visit the village where they make Laos wine. Late afternoon we return back to the hotel to relax and have dinner.

Day 3: Departure (BF) 

After breakfast we transfer you back to the airport for your departure flight.
